  • Support Each Other, But Be Smart: We highly encourage interacting and supporting fellow members! However, for your safety, please do not meet anyone in real life that you only know through this site.
  • Protect Your Privacy: Never share sensitive personal data or financial information on our forums or member areas.
  • Keep It Clean & Kind: We have a strict zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate, illegal, threatening, provocative, or sexual content. Any violations discovered or reported will be reported to law enforcement.
  • Shop with Purpose: Buying our merch supports the sanctuary! Check out our store policies below.

1. Acceptance of Terms By accessing or using the website provided by Mabels Misfits at https://mabelsmisfits.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Site.

2. User Accounts To access certain features of the Site, such as posting content or accessing the Misfit Members area, you may be required to register for an account. You agree to:

3. User-Generated Content & Member Interactions We allow members to publish photos, posts, and comments (“User Content”).

  • License Grant: You retain ownership of the content you post. However, by posting, you grant Mabels Misfits a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and reproduce your content on our Site for the purpose of operating and promoting the organization.
  • Your Warranty: You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to post the content and that your content does not violate the privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • Member Interactions: You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members. Mabel’s Misfits acts only as a platform for connection. We strongly advise against meeting online acquaintances in real life. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, either online or offline.

4. Code of Conduct & Prohibited Content We maintain a safe, family-friendly, and legal environment. You agree NOT to post content or engage in behavior that:

  • Depicts Minors: For the safety of children, posting photographs, videos, or identifying information of any child under the age of 18 is strictly prohibited.
  • Is Inappropriate or Harmful: Contains provocative, sexual, explicit, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or deceptive content.
  • Shares Sensitive Information: Contains sensitive personal data (e.g., home addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, or financial information) belonging to yourself or others.
  • Is Illegal: Violates any local, state, national, or international law. Note: Any illegal content or severe violations of this policy will be immediately reported to law enforcement.
  • Infringes Rights: Infringes on any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party.

5. Moderation and Enforcement Mabels Misfits reserves the right, but does not assume the obligation, to review and monitor User Content. We act as a passive conduit for user distribution of content. However, we reserve the right to:

  • Remove or refuse to post any content for any reason, without notice.
  • Suspend or terminate user accounts that violate these Terms.
  • Cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities regarding illegal, threatening, or harmful content.

6. Merchandise Purchases & E-Commerce Policies As a non-profit, proceeds from our online store (including Misfits Merch, Pollinator Mixes, etc.) go toward supporting our sanctuary and mission.

  • Pricing & Availability: All prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue products at any time.
  • Shipping & Fulfillment: We are a small team! While we strive to process orders promptly, shipping and delivery times are estimates and cannot be guaranteed. Risk of loss and title for items pass to you upon delivery to the carrier.
  • Returns & Refunds: (Note: Adjust this based on your actual policy) Because merch sales act as vital fundraising for our non-profit, all sales are considered final unless an item arrives damaged or defective. If there is an issue with your order, please contact us within [X] days of receipt.
  • Donations: Direct donations made through the site are non-refundable.

7. Intellectual Property & DMCA Notice We respect the intellectual property rights of others. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement. To file a claim, please provide our Copyright Agent with:
